The media has called her"a horror queen" for her film-related horror work. Her debut role was Marnie in the comedy-drama series HBO's Girls (2012-17) which for which she won an award from the Critics' Choice Award. Rose Armitage was the character she was playing in Get Out (2017). It earned her nominations at the MTV Movie Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards, as well as many other prizes.
