Laura Linney is an American actor, who became famous for her portrayal of strong but vulnerable characters. As a teenager, she spent her summers at her father's house, she developed an interest in the theater. While at Brown University for a while and then later, she attended Juilliard School to study acting. After graduating from Brown University in the year 2000, she began making her Broadway debut in the following year. Within two years of that, her first film hit the market, and next year she made her television debut. Innumerable appearances in film, TV and stage productions since then. She has been nominated for three Tony Awards, three Academy Awards, five Awards, and four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), and received several awards during her time on the stage. However, despite all the awards, her passion for theater is still there, and she performs onscreen and onstage.
