Laura Linney, best known for her strong but weak characters, is among of the most celebrated American actors of today. While working as a summer intern at the company of her father Laura Linney fell in love with the theatre. After that in her time at Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. She began her Broadway career soon after completing her degree after which she made her TV debut in the next year. Since then, she has appeared in many films, TV productions and stage shows. She's been nominated for three Tony Awards, three Academy Awards, five Awards, and four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), and received several awards during her professional career. She has been nominated for five Tony Awards as well as three Oscar Award nominations. But, in spite of her distinctions and awards, stage is where she's at and she will continue to perform on screen and stage.
